Actually said at my house this morning...

Today was Scout Sunday. So that means Trevor, Jacob and I wore our Scout uniforms to church. It is an even busier Sunday morning than usual because neckerchiefs and slides have to be straightened and I didn't have all of Jake's awards on his uniform so I was trying to fix that before church. With 9AM church Luke has taken to not getting up on Sundays so then we are in a mad dash out the door. Last Sunday I actually dressed him still asleep and took his breakfast with us so he could eat it after sacrament. (Rob worked so it was just me and 3 boys).
Anyways now we are to this morning. Trevor and Jake were finally ready, awards on uniforms, shirts tucked in and neckerchiefs straight. I was finally starting to get ready. Luke was awake but not dressed. Rob was trying to help him, but Luke wanted me. So here is the conversation...
Me (as I am putting on makeup) " Let Dad help you get ready. I can't help you, because I am busy making myself beautiful."
Rob "Yeah let me get you dressed, Mom needs all the time she can get."
To his credit he says he didn't mean it the way it came out, he was trying to get Luke ready for church and he has been very good about doing laundry today after church but he did say that I "need all the time I can get" to make myself beautiful so I think he is still in the dog house.
